Most privacy pages are long because the site is doing a lot to you. This one is short for the opposite reason.
There is no login here, no sign-up and no form to fill in. Nothing you do on these pages gets attached to a name, because there is no name to attach it to. The only way to reach us is to write to hello@maestrana.com.
This site does not set any.
Not ours, and not anybody else's. There is no consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to: no advertising pixel, no social widget, no embedded player that follows you to the next site.
We count readers, not people.
We do want to know whether anyone is reading this. The counter is Umami, and it runs on a server of our own. It is not Google Analytics, and nothing it records is handed to an advertising platform.
What it writes down, added up across everybody:
- which page was opened
- the site you arrived from, if you followed a link
- device type, browser and operating system
- screen size and browser language
- the country, roughly
It also counts clicks on the links that offer to start a conversation, so we know which page did the convincing. That is a tally, not a trail.
What it does not write down is any lasting identifier, the kind that would let us recognise the same visitor twice. So there is no profile of you here. There is nothing to build one out of.
Your address is used to answer you.
Write to hello@maestrana.com and we have your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it to reply. It does not go on a mailing list, and it is not passed to anybody else.
Ask, and we delete it.
If you have written to us and you want that correspondence deleted, ask at hello@maestrana.com and it goes. You can also ask what we hold on you, which for somebody who has only read the site is nothing at all: there is no record here with your name on it.
